Roselands Bowling Club

The construction of a brand new building called the Lantern Club was a major addition to the refurbished Roselands Bowling club.

The building encompasses Dining and Gaming areas as well as lounges, cafes and Bars.

Opal Lighting was the major lighting supplier involved in supply of both standard and customised fittings.

Notable is the fact that all the standard general area LED downlights that we supplied are dimmed through a Dali digital lighting control system.

In addition other standard products supplied and Dali controlled include a flexible linear LED strip system for use in the irregular shaped ceiling recess features.

We also worked with the architect to create three special custom made products.

Firstly we fabricated a seven hundred millimetre diameter fabric pendant that housed a Dali dimmable circular T5 fluorescent light source .This fitting was not just decorative in its appeal, but also functional in terms of the light it produced for general illumination in the casual dining area.

Secondly we manufactured a 600mm diameter aluminium ceiling light  to t he architects specification, that again used Dali dimmable circular T5 light sources .These fittings served to produce the right light output ,but were also designed to be low maintenance and low in  energy consumption, with the ability to be dimmed to create the right ambience.

The last fitting that we designed and manufactured was a series of indoor and outdoor custom made steel wall lanterns that create brilliant reflections back on to the walls, emphasising the Lantern club theme.
