Nespresso Sydney is located in Pitt Street Mall in one of the most prominent Retail locations in Australia.
It was estimated that over one million people pass by this Retail store per day.
So understandably the significance of the display and store lighting in the double storey glass façade was of great importance.
To add to the degree of difficulty in designing a lighting system to do justice to the store, was the fact that the horizontal linear lighting profiles that form the vertical wall in the double storey store front are inaccessible for service and maintenance.
Here we chose to use our Ciento 100 linear profile with a continuous LED strip guaranteed to last in non-maintainable installations.
Also clearly visible to the Mall is the internal double storey product Library wall that was back lit using Opal Lighting colour changing LED profiles. The strong output of light in this colourful feature means that the library wall is able to draw attention to the store from passerby’s during daylight as well as night time hours.
All lighting control systems to operate the store front and colour change feature lighting were specified and supplied by Opal Lighting.
