The Sonoma Café was a design exercise in maintaining the character of both a traditional Alexandria industrial warehouse and the introduction of a sleek modern café and bakery.
The Lighting design utilised both direct and indirect light to feature some of the character of the original brick walls and provide enough lighting for the preparation of food and beverages.
The dark finishes throughout the café meant that accent lighting was also required to illuminate tables, serving areas, menus and displays that provided both functional task lighting but also added the ambient light that the designers desired.
